Evra: United are exception

Manchester United left back Patrice Evra has reacted to Steven Gerrard’s declaration about the lack of English players in Premier League teams.

Liverpool icon Gerrard declared that the important number of foreign players in the league was a blow for English football.

Les Bleus' Evra has reacted to the England international. The defender thinks that The Red Devils are an exception in the league, as they are not concerned by this problem.

“I don’t know if he said that, but we do have five or six England internationals in our team,” Evra said at a press conference in France.

“So if he said that, he was not talking about Manchester.”

If england can not provide, they go seeking them out moreover world class players out are cheaper than the talentless englishmen. For the good of the premiership and for the sake of keeping it in world class, you need many foreigners in your league. Mustaq Ali - 16 November 2007 17:44: Liverpool FC is the most biggest club in England without doubt.One have to look at their long history and their heritage.No one in this WORLD can buy this with hundreds of miillion of money so that means there are things which money cant buy.Now the burning question on Mighty Reds chances on winning the EPL title for the first time since 17 long years is very much in the bag as far as the season is going and they are still unbeaten and at home no one can easily beat them and also their away form has been very tremendous as compared to last season.Having said that this Liverpool team has finally found a certain level of consistent week in week out and putting the best foot forward onto the pitch and performing suberbly if they can maintain this high level of consistent performance and winning matches week in week out and off course a bit of luck along the long season who knows when the Elite Elusive biggest trophy will finally end up in fortress Anfield.I wish my beloved team allthebest; Report this to a moderator
