Pompey deny Crouch negotiations

Portsmouth have insisted they are not in negotiations with Liverpool to sign striker Peter Crouch.
Manager Harry Redknapp is reported to be after the 6’7” England international, who played under him at Portsmouth and Southampton, thinking him ideally suited to a goal-scoring partnership with diminutive Jermain Defoe.
But The Reds have slapped a £15 million price tag on the 27-year-old and chief executive Peter Storrie was quick to deny the rumours.
“It’s a lot of nonsense to say we were negotiating to buy him last night,” he said.
“We are all concentrating on the FA Cup Final.”
