Barca focus efforts on Ade capture

Barcelona have ended their interest in David Trezeguet in order to focus their efforts on prising Emmanuel Adebayor from Arsenal.
The Togo international has been targeted by both Milan and Barcelona after scoring 30 goals for Arsenal last season and appears to be paving the way for an exit from Emirates Stadium.
On Friday he gave a press conference in which he hinted he would stay in North London but his subsequent statements to the written press were far more unequivocal about his interest in moving abroad.
“If what I hear is right, Arsenal could bring in five or six times the money they paid for me,” said Adebayor.
“Everyone is getting the benefits. They have to make a good decision and I have to make a good decision as well.”
Milan have already named the striker as their number one transfer target for the summer and now Spanish giants Barcelona have followed suit.
Director Ferran Soriano has confirmed that the Catalan giants have dropped their interest in Juventus star Trezeguet and are now focused on the capture of Adebayor.
“Adebayor is a player that we like and this is the reason why we have decided not to pursue Trezeguet,” said Soriano in The Sun.
“Trezeguet is a great striker but he is no longer a part of our plans.
“We were interested in the player but we never managed to get anything concrete regarding the player with Juventus."
