Crouch in bullish mood

Peter Crouch is revelling in life at Portsmouth and feels the team have enough talent to mount a challenge in The Premier League.
Crouch sealed his move from Liverpool earlier in the month and served notice of his quality with a brace against Bournemouth on Mondady.
The England international is happy with his new surrounds and feels Pompey can build on their efforts last term when they tasted FA Cup glory.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the ten days and hopefully I will enjoy the rest of my time here,” Crouch told Setanta Sports News. “The boys are great, it is great to be in the dressing room, it is a lively dressing room and is very enjoyable.
”The manager makes sure we work hard, but we do it with a smile on our faces.”
Pompey kick off the season against Chelsea, which follows the Community Shield clash with Manchester United, but Crouch is undaunted by the challenges ahead.
“We have got Man United in the Community Shield and then Chelsea and a few tough ones after that,” he added.
“But The Premier League is tough and we have got a squad capable of mounting a challenge.
”We just have to worry about ourselves rather than other teams.”
