Ajdarevic: Trial

Astrit Ajdarevic is undergoing a trial with NEC Nijmegen as he looks set to leave Liverpool.

The Eredivisie outfit have confirmed that the Kosovo-born youngster is training with the squad ahead of the new campaign.

After previously undergoing trials with Leeds United and Go Ahead Eagles, it seems as though the 18-year-old will be quitting Anfield.

"He is a creative midfield player, technically skilled and physically strong," commented technical director Carlos Aalbers on the club's official website.

Coach Mario Been is also running the rule over AZ Alkmaar attacker Gregory Nelson.

Football Poll

Who should coach the GB football team in 2012?

Setanta readers' comment of the day

“I'm glad he's staying!! For a few weeks there I thought we were going to get ripped off TWICE in 1 summer! Robbie Keane is a very good footballer but worth £20million i'm not sure. £18million for Barry and £12million for Alonso!! Jesus is it just me or does EVERYONE else see that as terrible business?? Rafa has a plan that he obviously thought Barry would be the perfect cog in his midfield machine but maybe next year, maybe not. I'm not sure about Riera but i'm willing to give him a chance like he deserves!! I hope we win the league this year but Chelsea are looking very strong.”
