Eyes trained on Champions League draw

All eyes will be on Monaco on Thursday afternoon as the British sides await their fate and setantasports.com is the place to be for the draw for the group stage of the Champions League.

Wednesday’s final round of qualifying saw Arsenal and Liverpool join Chelsea and Manchester United in the draw and the four English sides dominate the seedings.

All four figure in pot one, alongside the likes of Barcelona, Lyon, Inter and Real Madrid.

The 32 sides are split into four pots of eight, but such is the quality that being placed in pot one is no guarantee of progression.

Among the teams in pot two are Bayern Munich and Juventus, while the likes of Marseille, Celtic and Ruissian powerhouses Zenit St Petersburg are in pot three.

The draw is scheduled to take place at 5pm UK time and we will be provide live coverage from Monaco.

Celtic hav an atrocious away record, coupled with an almost impecable home record from the last 4- 5 years beating alot of the the richer euro teams along the years including the champions man unt. we are not competing on the same terms financialy as clubs in the championship never mind clubs in the champions league yet we still seem to do al right imagine wot sorta team we would have if the tv revenue in scotland was even half of wot the lowly premier league teams recieve. we wont be ther to make up the numbers and could beat any of the english sides int eh top sead ( only one that would worry me would be arsenal and even they are do-able. as for the best footlballing nation. probably true but its still not as good as you lot think it is, and thats why the english are disliked the world over.. no matter how good the world thinks england is at anything the english always rate themselevs higher. c'mon the hoops; Report this to a moderator

I think if you look at Celtic Champions League record you'll find, that along with Barcelona, Celtic have the best home record in the competition, beating the like of AC Milan, when they were european champions, Benfica (twice) and some diddy team called ManU, who would of been knocked out by us if it was the last 16 ties. 3-3 with Celtic scoring two away goals to ManU's none. Along with our run to the Uefa cup final, where we knocked out Liverpool, Blackburn, Barcelona etc. I think you'll find we do more than make up the numbers. “While all big teams (Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool) were busy protecting their best players, Arsenal was in forefront encouraging injury prone Walcott to participate in that useless freindly. Arsenal has a very thin squad and I remember Walcott said it but Wenger didn't take action to add some players. Arsenal players are not made of steel and Wenger should be prepared for such situation. We need Arsenal supporters on the board of Arsenal who can feel the way we feel when the team is losing and they can force Wenger to buy some experience players.
