Davies eyes England chance

Bolton striker Kevin Davies says he is delighted with his current goal-scoring form – and has not ruled out an England call-up if Fabio Capello faces an injury crisis.
The 31-year-old hit just four goals last season, but he has equalled that tally already this season.

And, with his confidence sky-high, he believes he could be in line to receive a first England call-up in the right circumstances.
“I guess everything stems from the first game of the season against Stoke – I got a goal and scoring goals breeds confidence,” he told the Manchester Evening News.
“If I’m not scoring now, I’m finishing disappointed.
“That’s four in seven now and I am delighted. I just want to keep it going.
“As for England, there are enough strikers around, but hopefully they will get a few injuries,” he smiled.
