Howell III on top at AT&T

Charles Howell III leads the AT&T Classic by one shot from Kenny Perry following the completion of the third day’s play in Georgia.
Howell III matched his 67 on Thursday – moving on to a total of thirteen-under - with another five-under-par outing on Saturday, during which he avoided any bogeys while hitting birdies on the sixth, seventh, tenth, fifteenth and seventeenth.

Perry was three-under for the day, which included an eagle on the fourth, and is alone in second, a single shot behind the leader.
The top of the leaderboard is dominated by Americans, with David Toms, Ryan Palmer and Jonathan Byrd all tied for third place, a shot adrift of Perry. Byrd commenced the day in the lead but scored a disappointing one-over-par 73 on Saturday.
Japan’s Ryuji Imada is the highest placed non-American following the third round of the tournament at TPC Sugarloaf, having hit an excellent a superb 66 on Saturday.
Imada is tied for sixth with Heath Slocum (-10), while a shot further back lies Justin Bolli, in eighth.
England’s Brian Davis had a day to forget with a 75, which dropped him back from tied for 16th to tied for 58th on one-under, while his countryman Kenneth Ferrie remains on even par after the completion of the third round.
Retief Goosen was one-under for the day, and is four-under overall.
